hi, i’m having a problem in HL2. i hav no idea my HL2 is episode 1 or 2.
anyway, i’m going to tell you my problem. i saved my game, but when i wanna load back my game, all characters freeze (it freaks me out when i saw their eyes look left or right). i start new game, but all also freeze.
can solve my problem, pls?

I need to find out why my game crashes every moment when i play the half life 2 eposode one its just the graphic crashes on the walls of the buldings i cnt see anything plesse can i get the answer fast….i have a toshiba equinium 200 with windows vista and 2 gigabytes of memory 1.47ghzetc write back…..PLEASE.

Good news I tried the fix Dom posted about episode one, dxlevel 90 -sw -heapsize 1024000 And it worked on episode two.

hi,

I am trying to run half life two episode two from the orange box on my pc and it is hanging on start up. All I get is a fuzzy blue screen and it never loads. I beat the system requirements and have tried re installing it. The only thing I can think of is I’m using my brothers steam acount, any help would be great.

Many thanks to this site – the Steam support site is useless. I used the -dxlevel 81 command and it fixed my crashing game. Just finished ep1, now going to apply fix to ep2 and try that tomorrow.

Dom’s post abput editing the launch options worked for me:
-dxlevel 90 -sw -heapsize 1024000
these options got the game running where before it would simply freeze at the “Loading…” message.

i have a problem with half life 2 everytime i launch the game hl2.exe keeps popping up and i cant get in if anyone knows how to get round this it would be apreciated.

Hello guys. I have a problem with my Half Life 2 Episode 1. See the thing is about it, is that I think that I don’t have all that props because in the citadel a lot of the objects are pink and black squares meaning I don’t have the props. I can upload a screen shot if you like. But please help!!!

Hello. I’m having an annoying hud problem with all my half life games from the orange box. The crosshair is a “q” and the other weapon silhouettes are greek letters. Everywhere else says is a font problem but i can’t fix it. i’m running vista 32bit.
