Ah. I’m have the same problem as Carmafrancesco. The exact error message and everything. I have just beaten HL2 and so i wanted more, and blam. Denied. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it a few times and tried different things. Any ideas?

I just downloaded hl2 episode 2 and it plays fine except after some parts an error sign comes up in the top right corner saying OS Paged Pool Memory Low. when i opened the console it repeated the error and after five minutes the game crashed. I have tried the Heapsize and tht doesnt work, has anyone got any ideas how to fix? I have more than enough RAM (1GB)so im pissed i cant play it without it crashing

i can’t start half life 2: episode 1. I have buyed the orange box and i don’t have any problem with other games.
The game loads and i can see the image of the background of the main menu, the combine palace exploding, and suddently i recive this message:

HALF-LIFE2: hl2.exe - Errore di applicazione
L’istruzione “0×0f263e2c” ha fatto riferimento alla memoria “0×0d74a1a0″. La memoria non poteva essere read. Fare clic su Ok per terminare l’applicazione.
(The instruction “0×0f263e2c” was made reference to memory “0×0d74a1a0″. The memory couldn’t be in read status).

I run windows xp with service pack 2, directx 9c, as far as i can tell everything is updated.
I mount a nvidia 8800 GTS 320 mb and i have updated the drivers after the error but with no results. 2Gb ram intel core 2 @ 2.40 Ghz.

Please help me

found a solution to my non-loading episode2. i found entering -sw in my launch options made the game load ok!

The Valve patch addressed the “stuttering” bug, not the same as the POV jumping bug. I too have this problem, and have so far, found nothing that helps.

Thankfully the WGP mystery has been solved.

I still can’t find out who PK Shaw is though.

Same problem as Ryan, Jim and Pawnpilot. My HL2E2 and Portal won’t get past the fuzzy LOADING screens…

Did anyone find a fix?
